This whole dining set has been hand crafted from specially selected, A-grade solid oak that’s been kiln dried, then hand painted to our exacting standards to create an outstanding dining table and chair set. We've stuck to our principles with our Cotswold painted Shaker furniture which is unique in the cabinet furniture market. We are the only retailer in the UK that, rather than using softwoods like pine in our painted furniture, uses 100% solid oak throughout the entire range. The chair’s cream painted legs and back, contrasted with the natural oiled seat perfectly matches the partially painted design of the table, meaning that the whole set looks stunning from every angle. The cream colour and subtle curved detailing is echoed throughout the whole Cotswold painted Shaker range, making it simple to compile a complete dining room suite. Extending the table can be easily done by one person in a matter of seconds: Simply slide one of the two main panels open and the unique mechanism slides the other panel out automatically, revealing the extension leaves. Then lift the upper leaf, which automatically swivels and lifts both leaves into place where they lock into the main panels forming a strong and perfectly fitting surface.
